I went through my email and pasted some of the comments I got from users here. My inbox is pretty big, so I just took samples, but you get the idea.

Hi Chris,

The program is wonderful and I appreciate all your work. It does everything a ham would want. As one of the audio nuts that is on 14.178, I and many of the others there have needed a program like this for a long time and the only alternative was a program that costs $300.00. I will spread the word. Thanks again Chris and keep me informed.

I have downloaded ver 2.4, uninstalled ver 2.31 and installed ver 2.4. Excellent, no problems at all.

Initially I ran 2.4 as unregistered to check it all worked and it did. My feelings are and I have to search for the correct adjectives here, was it is very responsive, quicker and solid more so than 2.31. What have you done? I then double clicked the registration key file and I am registered and it all works fine.

You must be thinking ahead of me when you added the overlay facility. I was going to suggest the possibility of saving the fft files for later recovery and overlaying them on later charts, you beat me to it.

I like the new registration features and I agree it is better for everyone, us users as well.

I will keep a close eye on your website.

Hi Chris,

I corresponded with you some months ago after downloading an earlier version. The lack of a log frequency scale took it out of the running for me and I wound up uninstalling the program and relying on either Cool Edit 2000 for post-processed files, or Spectrogram, another low cost shareware program with its own set of limitations.

After hearing W3OZ's comments on version 2.41, I downloaded it today and was blown away by the improvements in such a short period of time! Suffice it to say, the check's in the mail!

I look forward to receiving my registered version and to future updates.

Thanks for the update to the program!

Your offering is VERY professional in the way that it works -- this will help its professional appearance, as well.

Thank you for a great program!

Great job on saving the data files, works great.exactly what I was trying to accomplish. My Yaesu FT-920 has 5 preset EQs from the factory. Now I can load all the file data from each eq and bring them all up anytime I want to view them all on one plot window. This alone makes life much easier. Works perfect.

Hey, Chris-

I am pleased to hear about the upgrade, but curious as to why I am using 2.0 and have never heard about any subsequent versions. (Is it because I'm guilty of not checking your website more frequently? tsk tsk!) Please upgrade me at your convenience, and we'll handlie it with PayPal. I love Hamalyzer and love to amaze my friends with "spectrum occupancy" plots of their off-air signals. I work for US Cellular as a field engineer, and use it to analyze digital audio from our CDMA system.
Keep up the good work with Hamalyzer and your newsletter.

Mr. Brown,
I am an engineer working with the Kuwait Oil Company, here in Kuwait.

I have been using your program during the past few days to analyze noise from an oil well we are working on which has suffered some serious problems.

We collected wav files from an analog signal generated by a hydrophone run on a wire down the well.  This is a standard evaluation technique, though not widely used.  We are looking for fluid flow where none should exist, noise being an indication of dynamic energy from fluid flow in the well. Oilfield literature and experimental research suggests that one can differentiate between single phase and two phase flow based on the frequency spectrum of the noise generated.

I've had good success with your program displaying the frequency spectrum for various files.

Thanks for the program, beats the hell out of dragging out my Tektronix 585 with a 1L5 spectrum analyzer to check out and equalize a room.  If you are not familiar with the 585 it weights in at over 80 Pounds

Program works very well on my laptop, a 233 PII 120 Meg of Ram; I am surprised how well it does work.

Personally I like the name.

Good Morning Christopher,

My name is Dick and I am a licensed amateur radio operator "HAM". I downloaded your application yesterday and find it very interesting. The trend today in ham radio is audio quality within a 3 kHz bandwidth. A tool is needed to monitor the audio quality of received and transmitted signals. Your application shows great promise for this purpose. Great Job Chris!

Thanks for your time and talent.

Hello,

So far I have really enjoyed your Spectrum Analyzer. I have used programs called: FFT Properties, DeethSA An FFT programming example from Computer Boards Inc., and one other, but I can not remember the name. Your software is the fastest I have seen so far.

Thanks for the great software,
Gordon

A couple of weeks ago I downloaded your spectrum analyzer and it seems like a pretty cool program. I am the sound guy for an on-campus organization and every other week I am in charge of setting up the sound system and such for music and a speaker. Unfortuately, spectrum analyzers are out of our budget. I was impressed with analfreq over the other free analzyer on cnet because it is much faster on my computer(it updates faster and doesn't seem to draw much processor time.)
Well, I need to get back to some homework [:)] Thanks
MIKE
