I am a graduate student, studying perception and psychophysics at the Parmly Hearing Institute, at Loyola University Chicago, and am currently trying to finish my dissertation. I am originally from Rhode Island. I received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island, and a master's degree in cognition and perception from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

I live with my beautiful wife Monika, and my dog, Monty. Monika is from Poland, and moved to Chicago about 10 years ago. We met at Loyola, when she took a statistics class that I was teaching. It was all on the up and up! No funny business during the semester, honest. We are planning to buy a house when we get to Arizona. We also plan on having a child, and Monika will also work towards a Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology.

Monty has no plans for secondary education. He is a four year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, who seems to have mastered Taoism without effort.

Here is a picture of Monika and me. This was taken at the wedding of our friends Mark and Jennifer. We were trying not to laugh.

For our wedding, Monika and I went to Europe for the summer of 2003. We visited her family in Krakow, Poland, and spent several weeks in Italy. We were married in Rome, with a very nice quiet ceremony. It was the best trip we've ever taken. If you want, you can view some pictures from the trip.
